Join Dr. Carla Kinslow as she delves into the growing craft beer industry, the microbial and chemical contaminants commonly and uncommonly encountered in the brewing industry, and the investigation of these contaminants. It will help the audience identify the pathogenic potential of contamination as it may relate to alleged personal injury as well as root cause analysis to identify potential areas of subrogation.

Participants will also learn to identify red flags that suggest a possible risk but can be easily addressed, and/or if there is possible subrogation.

Dr. Kinslow is a PhD Toxicologist and Microbiologist that leads the Toxicology and Food Safety Practice Area at Rimkus Consulting.  Over her 30+ years of academic, industry, regulatory and consulting experience, she has addressed numerous food and beverage-related issues, with one of her unique specialty areas being beer and cider contamination. By combining both her toxicological and microbiological backgrounds (as well as her passion for home brewing) , Dr. Kinslow brings a scientifically sound approach to brewery contamination issues. These issues have included the typical microbiological contamination investigations and have also included beverage can liner issues, free oxygen, trace back to source contamination, equipment design failures, and others. In her presentation, Dr. Kinslow will discuss the state of the brewery industry, specifically as it related to COVID-issues, industry growth areas, as well as provide the audience with an overview of brewery contamination investigative approaches.

The link to join the webinar will be emailed after registering.

As always, this event is free for all PPA members!  Non-members can attend for a cost of $10.00.
